Coney Island Prep Upper Elementary School, a free public charter school located in Bath Beach and serving scholars from the neighborhoods of Coney Island, Brighton Beach, Sheepshead Bay, and surrounding areas in Brooklyn (zip codes 11224, 11235, 11229), prioritizes the development of critical thinking skills through a rigorous Common Core-aligned curriculum. We enhance this approach by expanding exposure to performing arts electives. Our scholars progress from learning to read to reading to learn, mastering new skills with our PRIDE Advisory curriculum, and cultivating a passion for learning while fostering a growth mindset.
Scholars are prepared for college and careers through rigorous academics, extraordinarily high expectations, and annual college trips. After-school activities include anime, dance, STEM, and photography. Our athletics program includes football, basketball, track, and volleyball.
Located in a beautifully renovated school building on Avenue T, Coney Island Prep High School serves scholars in grades 9-12. Our academic, athletic, and cultural clubs foster strong character, self-advocacy, and a responsibility to become lifelong learners. Last year, we had 100% of our graduates accepted into colleges and universities.
